We must laugh at how people lie and tell stories when they are too incompetent to handle their business. A day was discussed for pick up with this man so he could get his items on a day convenient to both him and us. We gave him several options. He chose his date. We agreed to meet at noon that day. We also sent him an email with EXACT direction to use to use so he could save some time and miles. Pretty simple, one would think, if a person could FOLLOW DIRECTONS! He called the day he arrived to ask if he could come earlier. We said was fine, since we were available, and it gave him an earlier start to his trip home, and us to our show the next day. You'll note he states he was using his GPS-HE TOOK A DIFFERENT ROUTE-NOT THE DIRECTIONS GIVEN TO HIM-and got lost! Then he calls us to tell us he is caught behind a train. Okay, thanks for telling us! So now, he wants us to tell him how to get here. But he CAN'T tell us where he is. Can't give us a street name. I AM NOT CARNAC THE MAGNIFICIENT AND CAN NOT GUESS WHERE HE IS!! He has exageratted in every instance. No one became furious with him. Then he called again-he couldn't locate the building number, even though it is on a large brick right next to the driveway! He called again, asking about what type of car I had. I had no idea why he would ask this, but I told him, after he said he STILL couldn't find us, the make and model of my truck, to which he answered that he was IN THE DRIVEWAY!! (okay-so he's not too bright!) He picked up the clock, put it in his car, and that was it! Pretty simple! He was asked to sign a paper stating he had picked up his item, which he did. Standard auction procedure. It was not "shoved in his face." And of course, we held the door for him! He was carrying his clock! Not sure what this guy's problem is. Seems like he just can't follow directions and blames others for his own incompetence and frustrations! Live Auctioneers has banned him from further auction bidding due to his lies.

Thanks Joseph-we had a lot of fun on the auction weekend and have received a lot of nice emails. We hope you had fun, too! What we think is really cool is that every bidder had already paid for their items. All shipments will be out by tomorrow, only 10 days after the auction, and all consignors have been paid as of today, 9 days after the sale! We really try to care about our customers, both sellers and buyers, and appreciate those who work within the context of the policies set forth and communicate well with us. Being able to offer the lowest seller's and buyer's fees in the RR auction industry, as well as in-house, ACTUAL COST shipping, will hopefully allow us to lead the way into the future for all RR auctions.
