A good decent sized sale of Sunday evening offerings, that of 7 PM. Along with more of a good old toy collection, an extensive group of German war insignia and medals, other collectibles including possible dolls. Modern and old artworks, antiques, a nice lot of silver, a fairly broad array of mixed things of merit, no actual reserves, strong values with modest to very low starting bids. This is an on-line only auction here at www.liveauctioneers, old red barn -with an open format for the possibility of live phone bids and absentee bids. Viewings at times of prior appointment, or at 11 am to 3 pm Saturday May 18. These times for hands on viewing and acceptance of any left bids, those to be exercised by the auction house. This sale from numerous consignors, charity, again, more from the Port Jervis Humane Society, more from an elder retired professional appraiser, numerous paintings by Charles Arcier and a number of Jacob Semiatin's works. An interesting mix of various paintings and artworks as well some good antiques. Our truly great on-line and in-house auction that will celebrate the 40 years of continuous operation of auctions at the Old Red Barn as well as the end of my first year of its on-line transition, will soon be taking place. The complete sale will hold offerings from a full range of things of extreme importance, museum candidates and internationally desired things, down to very special antiques, antiquities, ethnographic arts, as well as important paintings and drawings that range from numerous old master works through to the 20th century, including sculpture. It will be presented in numerous tranches of 40 lots, the first incorporating world class, 'big' auction things and museum caliber treasures. Those to be followed by numerous descending tranches of varied things of importance, down to just fine antiques and art properties with a strong emphasis on great value throughout. Watch for us, "City Stuff in the Country". We will not disappoint.
