Works on Paper & 3-D

Works on Paper & 3-D includes works by African American artists in various mediums other than a traditional oil painting. Watercolors, drawings in pencil, ink, and charcoal, collage, prints of various types, assemblage, sculpture, ceramics, metalwork, photography and textiles are all represented. Many African American artists incorporated elements of the rich heritage of African crafts into their work. Some artists are well-known for working in a particular medium, but explored alternative vehicles of expression that may not be as familiar to us all but are interesting and effective and bring an added level of admiration for the talent of these artists.
