The Photo Review Benefit Auction
The Photo Review, a critical journal of photography founded in 1976, will celebrate its 45th anniversary with a spectacular Annual Benefit Auction on Saturday, October 24, 2020. The auction will offer a stunning array of photographs from the 19th century to the present.
The event will feature an international slate of photographers as well as a host of Philadelphia-area artists. Beginning and experienced collectors alike will have the opportunity to bid on work by historic masters from Ansel Adams, Helen Levitt, and Man Ray to Alfred Stieglitz, Aaron Siskind, and Garry Winogrand.
Among the many great items in our auction are Mariana?s Cook?s stunning portrait of Civil Rights icon John Lewis and George Krause?s classic image, Swish, Rome. From 19th-century images from the Civil War by Mathew Brady, Alexander Gardner, and Andrew J. Russell and stunning landscapes by Eadweard Muybridge and Isaiah Taber to mid-century masters like Margaret Bourke-White and Lotte Jacobi to numerous leading contemporary art stars, there is something for every beginning and experienced collector at every price point.
