MOCA Cleveland Art Auction
This unique auction features 40 works from the collection of Marjorie and Anselm Talalay. Marjorie Talalay was the founding director of The New Gallery (1968), now the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (MOCA Cleveland). The Talalays were the lifeblood of Cleveland's artistic community for more than 30 years.
The Talalays assembled an intimate collection of contemporary art and vintage photography culled from MOCA exhibitions and their personal relationships with leading artists of the time. Among the auction highlights are works by contemporary masters such as Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, and Red Grooms. Additionally, the auction includes 13 vintage photographs, including work by Bernice Abbott, Anselm Adams, and Walker Evans.
