AS-IS Policy: Please note that the majority of the items sold through Sterling Auctions are estate items and are therefore antique, vintage and/or pre-owned. Every effort is taken to communicate condition through both the description reports and photos. Please review both before placing bids on items. PAYMENT: Full payment is due within three (3) days upon receipt of your invoice. Sterling Auctions runs payments through Live Auctioneers. Through their Autopay system, if you have not contacted Live Auctioneers to arrange payment within 72-hours from the time the invoice is sent, the credit card you used to register for the auction will be charged for the full amount of your invoice. Please note that Resale Certificates must be on file with Live Auctioneers and that the Certificates stated address must match the shipping address on file with Live Auctioneers to be honored. No exceptions will be granted to this provision. SHIPPING: The buyer is responsible for paying all shipping and handling costs. Sterling Auctions provides in-house shipping but reserves the right to delineate certain items for third-party shipping including some large, fragile, oddly sized and/or higher valued items. In-House Shipping: Winning bidders will receive invoices within 24hrs of the close of the auction. Please note that the initial invoices will not include shipping costs and that once payment clears, a second invoice will be sent out for shipping. After payment of the second invoice, we generally ship items under 2lbs directly via USPS, and larger/heavier items via UPS through our shipping partner. International items are also sent UPS via our shipping partner. We will combine shipping within reason. We want your items to get to you safely and therefore reserve the right to make combined shipping determinations. Third-Party Shipping: Again, Sterling Auctions reserves the right to determine which items will be shipped in-house and which will be shipped third-party. Winning bidders will be provided with detailed information regarding processing for our third-party shipper. International Shipping: International shipping is generally sent UPS through our shipping partner. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide accurate shipping addresses and to know any shipping restrictions for their specific country before placing a bid. Like all who routinely use shipping to deliver their merchandise, Sterling Auctions may experience delivery delays due to an ongoing global shortage directly impacting shipping. We will make every effort to promptly process your auction purchases and appreciate your patience. ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS: 1.Please see the shipping section for all in-house shipping policies. 2.For third-party shipments, buyers make payment directly to our third-party shipping service. See third-party shipping information above. 3.Sterling Auctions assumes no liability for lost or damaged items received through the post. 4.All shipping claims, damages or loss are managed and resolved by the company used to ship the item. 5.The cost of shipping is not grounds for cancelling a sale. Please inquire about shipping questions before bidding. Sterling Auctions will not cancel a sale due to shipping. 6.Bidders and Purchasers are responsible for providing all necessary documentation for approval prior to any Live Auctioneers auction participation. Prerequisite emailed confirmation of your acceptance of our international shipping terms and conditions is required for approval to bid. 7.Consequences of non-payment may result in negative feedback, unpaid item strikes and addition to our no-bid list, which may affect your ability to register with other auction houses. 8.All sales are final and no refunds are granted. 9.Placing a bid constitutes your agreement to all terms and conditions and is a binding contract to purchase. The action of placing a bid on an item indicates you understand the terms of sale and agree to the terms and condition of the sale. 10.All items are sold AS IS. 11.Sterling Auctions does not make any guarantees and assumes no risk, liability or responsibility for the authenticity or authorship of items described in the catalog. 12.Descriptions and any other spoken or written reference, genuineness, attribution, provenance or culture of any items are to the best of our knowledge only. 13.No returns. Please research and review prior to making a bid on any items, including making inquiries. Do note, however, that condition questions may be limited to the descriptions and photos available as lots are packaged shortly after processing to ensure an efficient turn around shipping time after the auction closes. Every effort is made to convey maximum condition details through photos and description. 14.Sterling Auctions reserves the right to withdraw lots prior to the sale. 15.Lots may be subject to reserve. Reserves will not be made available. REGISTRATION AND BIDDING 16.Bidders are required to register prior to the auction. Sterling Auctions reserves the right to decline any bidder registration and to reject any bid from a bidder for any reason. REMOVAL OF SHIPPED ITEMS 17.Full payment is required before the item is removed from our warehouse. Unpaid items remaining beyond (20) days of receipt of invoice are considered abandoned. Sterling Auctions reserves the right to reclaim abandoned items. 18.Paid items with uninitiated third-party shipping beyond (20) days of payment are considered abandoned. Sterling Auctions reserves the right to reclaim abandoned items.
