Lewis & Grant Auctions is pleased to offer for it's May 5th Premier Auction an eclectic grouping of highly desirable and extremely rare items for the most discerning collectors of any genre or area of interest. Opening the auction is a collection of Medieval and Renaissance arms and armor, this selection features exceedingly rare, fine condition swords, rapiers, hammers, daggers, and armor, including a Venetian Broadsword "Spada De Fante" Circa 1490 (Lot 8), a fine Classic Italian Cup Hilt Rapier,  and aA Fine Early  17th Century German Chiseled Pierced Wept Hilt Rapier Circa 1610. Also crossing the block will be a selection of fine  German and European Swords (Lots 8-17) and sets of Continental Armor and Helmets (Lots 1-7). To finish the day, a collection of American arms, both military and civilian. Of particular note are several engraved Colt Revolvers by Howard Dove (Lots 221, 222), the later of which is easily one of the finest custom-engraved Colts in existence. Also for offer in this auction are rare A Very Good Indian Matchlock  Rifle With Enam Silver  Mounts (lot 247), several Early Colt 1911 Pistols (Lots 238-241), a Rare Japanese Type B "Baby" Nambu Pistol with Holster, and a Coffin Head Bowie Knife.
