Fine Chinese Paintings & Works of Art
Gianguan Auctions (also known as Hong Kong Auctions) specializes in Chinese and Asian Arts and has attracted a strong following of collectors from China and Asia. Established in Hong Kong in 2002, a New York office opened in 2004 and, four times a year, auctions are held at the Lefcourt Building on New York’s Madison Avenue. Young and seasoned collectors alike share the rare opportunity to own cultural and historic treasures. Under our director, Mr. Kwong Lum, our specialists have successfully sourced high quality consignments and resulted in record prices. Recently, Mr. Lum was appointed by Beijing’s National Museum?s Appraisal Center as its chief consultant, an exceptional honor which solidifies our reputation as experts in Chinese antiques. Over the past ten years, the number of new and veteran collectors who share our passion for these treasures has grown tremendously. Our Asian Art Week Auction covers a wide array of treasures that are most representative of Chinese culture and heritage: a magnificent Qing Dynasty double walled Famille-Rose Vase, a very rare Archaistic White Jade Tripod Ding; an imposing Xu Being’s Descending Hawk; an irregular shaped dragon Duan inkstone; a Shanghai Hirsbrunner pocket watch; and a cloisonné Enamel washpot.
