Description
This is a monumental folding map detailing the course of the Erie Canal's Western Division. It charts the course of the Erie Canal from Buffalo east along Tonawanda, Lockport, Medina, Holley, Rochester, Palmyra, Newark, Clyde to Meadville after which the canal's Middle Division is located. Much additional detail is provided including the Genesee Canal meeting the Erie Canal at Rochester, Railroads, The Suspension Bridge at Niagara Falls, towns, cities, etc. The elevation of the canal along its course is shown on the bottom along with six additional details at locks, etc. Lake Ontario is located on top.
