SCARCE RUSSIAN IMPERIAL REGIMENTAL HUSAR BADGE, 1907
Badge of the 8th Lubny Hussar Regiment (before 24th Dragoons). Officially approved on the 17th of April, 1907.
Badge is a silver double-headed eagle completed by the gold Imperial crown with falling blue ribbons. Beneath eagle's wings are gold cyphers of the Emperors Alexander I and Nicholas II. In the eagle's claws there is silver ribbon with jubilee dates "1807" and "1907". On the eagle's chest there is coat of arms of town Lubny (hand holding gold scepter on blue background).

WIKIPEDIA: Hussars were first recorded in Russia as groups of irregulars in the mid-17th century. Under Peter I this class of light cavalry began to serve as organized regiments on a semi-permanent basis. Hussar regiments remained a conscious element of the Imperial Russian Army until the Revolution of 1917.
