Dan Truth was born on 10/12/1949 Ann Arbor Michigan and currently resides in Mystic, CT.Studied at Sevilla, Spain with Ricardo Lecarcel Sr. 1961; Madrid, Spain with Jose Maria de Juan 1962-63; Noank, Connecticut with Robert Brackman 1977-80; Old Lyme, CT with Aaron Shikler 1985. Major Influenced by J.S. Chardin and Luis Melendez. Exhibited at the National Academy of Design 1984; Allied Artists of America; Regional Exhibitions New England; Lyman Allyn Museum, New London, CT.Early works focused on landscape with some still life, portrait and figure composition. Recent works strongly focused on still life. Style decidedly in the Europeon-American realist tradition.
