A Chinese jun ware porcelain tea-bowl
10 cm H x 23.1 cm Diam
This tea bowl has an open mouth, small circle feet, and an oblique curved wall. The exposed tire is gray. The inside is full of glaze, the external glaze is not applied to the bottom, and the glaze flows thicker in the lower part of the abdomen. The neat and concise shape and the delicate and pleasant temperament make this collection a rare Jianzhan treasure.
PROVENANCE:From The Estate of Garold G. Darty(1930-2019) of Bear, DE. Born in Townsend, DE on June 29, 1930, Garold was a life-long Delaware resident. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard from 1948 until 1954. He worked as a surveyor for Delaware Dept. of Transportation for 37 years, from 1954 until retiring in 1991. A devoted family man, he especially loved family gatherings and crab feasts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, working in his yard, garden, and home. He was a faithful Phillies and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing all across the country and accomplished his goal of visiting 48 of the 50 states. Bud was a member of The United Methodist Church, Georgetown, where he served as an usher and enjoyed the fellowship of his church family.
