Description
VICTORIAN TRANSFER DECORATED MINIATURE LAMPS, LOT OF TWO, porcelain with cobalt blue and gilt decoration, fonts with double-scroll handles, comprising an example with a lady portrait, and remaining example with pastoral scenes of ladies and animals, impressed with a "3" to underside of font, each with a near matching decorated opaque white ball-form shade with appropriate decoration, No. 1 Taplin-Brown collars. Each fitted with a Plume & Atwood Victor burner, colorless chimneys. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 8 3/4" H to top of shades, 3 1/4" H to top of collars, 5 1/2" D bases.
Undamaged lamps, wear to decorations, one shade with an as-made interior broken bubble to rim, collars with light splits. One burner with a hole in air-flow band and lacking components due to previous electrification.
