Oriental Carved White Marble Figure, 19th c., of a geisha with an umbrella, together with a stepped square figured white marble pedestal, Figure- H.- 16 3/4 in., W.- 4 1/4in., D.6 1/2 in., Pedestal- H.- 40 1/2 in., W.- 9 7/8 in., D.- 9 7/8 in. (2 Pcs.) Provenance: Property from the Collection Of Nicholas Burke (1834-1905), located at 5809 St. Charles Ave. (The Wedding Cake House), and thence by descent to present consignor. Note: Burke was president of the Nicholas Burke Company, a Retail Grocer and one of the founders of Hibernia National Bank in New Orleans, Louisiana.
