Includes a beautifully detailed oil on canvas by Joseph Miller (b. 1825 German), titled "Opening the Bottle," signed and dated lower right, 1869, in an ornate gilt frame. Viewable area measures approx. 24.75"l by 30.25"h. Provenance: Directly from consigner. Her husband was a doctor on The Main Line, Wayne, Pennsylvania. He predominantly collected Philadelphia silver, London silver and other objects of considerable interest including fine art, period furniture, Oriental rugs and fine reproductions in the manner of Williamsburg Virginia furnishings by kittinger and Baker.
