**First Time At Auction**
Native American, Southwestern United States, likely Zuni, ca. mid-20th century CE. A handsome bolo tie with a thunderbird pendant made of sterling silver, turquoise, coral, and nacre (mother of pearl) on a leather cord. The bezels are 92.5% silver with granulated balls and a rope twist border. The inlaid stones and shells are symmetrically arranged to create the eagle. Stamped on the pendant verso are the initials "EB" for an unknown artist. The thunderbird, a symbol of power and strength, is a popular motif that has been adopted by many Native American tribes. The clasp is adjustable to customize the fit of the bolo tie. Size pendant: 2" L x 2" W (5.1 cm x 5.1 cm); cord doubled: 19" L (48.3 cm); quality of silver: 92.5%

Condition
Leather cord and pendant are in good condition and are wearable. Toning and cleanable patina on silver areas. Minor nicks to stones. Clasp articulates and is adjustable. Bolo pendant cannot be easily removed from leather cord for accurate weighing.
