Description
Lancaster County, Pennsylvania circa 1760-1780; walnut desk, having fitted interior, with two candle/support drawers having interior lids, with central drawer over two short drawers over long drawer on bracket feet. 42.5 in. H., 39 in. W., 22 in. D. Previously displayed at the Hammond Harwood House Museum, Annapolis Maryland. It was a gift to the museum in 1941 from Ethel Miller, the sister of noted antiques furniture specialist Edgar G. Miller, and is thought to be from his private collection. Last appraised in 2007 by Sotheby's for $14,000.

Age wear from use, interior with stains, repair to hinge area in interior, patch on inside of interior door, replaced hinges and hardware, lacking key. Chips and wear around feet
