Chinese Republic Period Carmine Red Glazed Vase. The porcelain potted in vase shape, thick and tall, globular lower body, straight round neck, flaring mouth rim, raised on a short ring foot base with slight concave. Warm and uniform red glaze applied to the whole surface, only the upper mouth rim and outer bottom is white glazed. Red is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. It was originated in the Qing Dynasty. The red color of the packet symbolizes good luck, corresponding with fire, symbolizes good fortune and joy.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Republic Period.
