Description
A Chinese Mughal style jade basin with gilt metal and glass inlay dating from the Qianlong period. The flat basin has an octagonal shape with slightly raised walls. One edge has a short handle, while the opposite edge has an incised hole. The back of the basin has floral tracery patterns.
Dimensions are: 6 1/2 inches tall X 5 3/8 inches wide X 1/2 inches deep, 16.5 cm X 13.7 cm X 1.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is gilt wear throughout. The jade itself is in overall good condition.
