Description
Chinese Export Porcelain Lot, 18thc. comprising an armorial plate decorated with the Arms of Burgh quartering others and impaling Chambers, a small reticulated plate (cup stand?) with armorial c.1785, pictured in D.Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain and purportedly used by the Tsar of Russia in 1814, and a small teabowl and saucer in famille rose glaze decorated with a floral design. All bearing labels for John M. Davis, Harwinton, CT.
Condition
Large plate with evidence of minor restoration around left side of armorial and at top two corners, fluorescing under UV light. Minor edge flakes, normal wear and scratches to decoration from age and use.
Reticulated plate has been very professionally restored and fluoresces under UV light which would only be visible to the very trained eye under natural lighting conditions. Cup and Saucer are very good with only light normal wear.
