Description
A group of three Chinese blue and white bowls with 6-character marks of Guangxu and of the period. Each is decorated with peonies and daisies to the exterior with a small leaf band by the rim. One bowl is larger than the other two.
Dimensions are: the largest bowl measures 3 1/4 inches tall X 7 7/8 inches wide, 8.3 cm X 20 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: One of the smaller bowls has a chip to the foot and a chip to the rim. The other small bowl has a chip to the rim and a chip to the interior. The larger bowl has two chips and a glaze pop all to the rim.
Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
