Chinese Qing Dynasty Yongzheng Emperor Reign period Zijin reward vase. Delicately potted in a slightly flattened globular body with round shoulder gently raised the cylindrical tall neck toward the flaring rim, raised on oval foot base. The mid belly banded with double molded ring. All reserved in attractive monochrome Zijin glaze, the very dark brownish bronze color glaze. Delightfully covered over all reserved in dark brown monochrome under glazed with densely dusted clear speckles. The dark brown glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The glaze stopping before the foot rim, revealed the pale-creme unglazed ground. The receded central under base remain white underglaze, Is fine and exquisite, the glaze smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.

The underside bears reign mark, a six underglaze blue seal script characters reign mark, Made In The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
