AN UNCUT 'PHOENIX AND DEER' PAIR OF SILK SLEEVE BANDS, LATE QING DYNASTY
China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century. Finely executed in satin stitch and with gold threads on creamy silk ground, depicting a band with geometrical designs and reserves with phoenixes, deer, and peacocks.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, loose threads, and minor staining.
Dimensions: Size ca. 110 x 19.5 cm
