The ring reads "Elvis" in a diagonal across the top framed with approximately 0.20ctw diamond accents and a band with Elvis' favored nugget motif. Jimmy Velvet was a life long friend of Elvis Presley. Velvet created the Elvis Presley Museum, the only museum in the world which is licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises and Graceland, four years before Graceland opened its doors to the public. Velvet owned and was president of the museum, and amassed the largest authentic collection of artifacts owned by Elvis Presley in the world. Jimmy Velvet grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and was a local talent. In 1955 he met Elvis at the Hank Snow Show at the Gator Bowl through his substitute teacher Mae Axton, who also worked as a music promotor and went on to write Heartbreak Hotel for Elvis.
