Iran, Ca. 1785-1925 AD A highly decorated metal teapot of a drop-shaped body sitting on a wide flaring base and with a tapering neck with pronounced collar, funnel-shaped mouth with attached 'S'-shaped handle connecting rim with a shoulder. The curved tubular spout protrudes from the opposite side of the vessel. The body with Quranic inscriptions Kul who Allah wa Ahad - "He is Allah, [who is] One".Size: L:152mm / W:140mm ; 970gProvenance: Private London collection of Early Islamic Art - M.A.; formerly acquired on the UK art market since the 1980s.
