The collection includes Washington Irving's The Life of Washington, George Russell's The History of Modern Europe, Edmund Lodge's Portraits of Illustrious Personages, Michel de Montaigne's Essays, Cervantes' Don Quixote, and works by Eliot, Browning, Burns, Tennyson, Byron and Shelley, among others. Bindings include full calf with gilt decorations and three-quarter calf with gilt decorations. Largest volumes measure 11 x 8 1/4 inches. Worn, with occasional chipping to headpieces, cracked joints, detatched boards, fading to spines, generally the books are sound however, sold as is.
