CANTON FAMILLE ROSE DISH QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY 清 廣彩花鳥博古紋碟 the shallow dish painted on the central medallion with bogu motif- an arrangement of hundred antiques, enclosed by ruyi and floral bands, before the mouth six panels of flowers and birds reserved on a gilded iron-red ground (20.4cm diameter ) Qty: (1) Provenance: Private English collection, Lancashire The base with two paper labels, upper typed: 'CANTONESE PLATE & REAL BLACK WOOD STAND. From the Palace of the old Emperor of China. Given to me by Matilda McNeale. May 1930. [signed] H.S.W.Eyre'; The lower repetition of the former in writing.
