A GROUP OF FAMILLE ROSE AND FAMILLE VERTE EXPORT WARES
18th century
Comprising: a bowl decorated with peony and lotus and dishes of auspicious fruits; a dish with phoenix in a flowering garden; a 'fruit and flowers' dish; another with an ornamental flowering garden; a dish with vases and jardinière of flowers; a large floral dish; and two famille verte dishes. The largest: 35cm (13 3/4in) diam. (8).

Condition

General signs of rub and wear and minor firing imperfections. Losses to the enamels.
Burst bubbles, pitting and firing cracks.
Larger famille rose dish: possible extensive overspray to the exterior (flash under UV light). Chip to the rim approx. 0.6cm long.
Famille verte 'tree' dish: chip to the rim approx. 0.6cm long.
Famille verte 'bonsai' dish: shallow chip to the exterior of the rim.
Famille Rose 'chrysanthemum' dish: chip to the rim approx. 0.8cm long.
Famille rose and turquoise dish: extensive area of restoration with flaking overspray.
