Attributed to Hokusai, Katsushika (Japan 1760-1849) Woodblock print, Man on horseback, crossing bridge, with other peasants traveling road. Mt. Fuji in background. Katsushika Hokusai was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period. He was influenced by Sesshu and other styles of Chinese painting. Hokusai is best known as author of "Woodblock printing in Japan", woodblock print series 'Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji' .
