The first fragment bears sections of 14 lines while the larger fragment exhibits 15 partial lines. Cuneiform tablets like this example provide scholars with insights as to how a structured writing system revolutionized the means of recording information pertaining to countless facets of life, such as worker payment as well as the transportation and distribution of building materials and agricultural goods. Both pieces are fragments of larger compositions as shown. Chips and light earthen deposits commensurate with age, with minor softening to some cuneiform characters, otherwise in very good condition. Nice preservation to most cuneiform characters.
