Description
Rare Herend, Hungary with blue-stamped "1939 Centennial Mark," a Porcelain Cup & Saucer in the style of the Moritz Fischer Period copying Chinese 18th Century Famille Rose with pierced foot ring to both cup and saucer and a small Chinese Man to handle, the central design of a basket of Flowers, a Boy, white Cat & Bird; incised numbers and additional impressed Herend mark with blue mark to saucer and cup. Diameter of saucer 4 3/8 inches (11 cm.). Height of cup 1 7/8 inches (4.8 cm.).
Condition
Light age related wear to enamels and gilding; 1 minute flake to 1 white enamel cat on saucer.
