Bisque socket head on shoulder plate (overall light speckling) incised “Sie C 3/0” made by Jules Nicholas Steiner, an early Series C bébé head with generous dark blonde eyebrows, blue paperweight eyes, painted upper and lower eyelashes, mauve eye shadow, closed mouth with lip shading strokes, pierced ears, Steiner cardboard pate, blonde mohair wig; French lady body, kid over metal with “baggy pants” hips, metal upper arms and bisque lower arms (2 fingers flaked on inside of right hand, soil, wear) of the type sold by J. Terrene. According to The Dolls of Jules Nicholas Steiner series C and A bébé heads are occasionally found on various lady bodies. Lovely period tan and green linen dress, antique straw hat, underwear, shoes and stockings. A stunning and rare lady!
