Four 19th photos of people in wheel chairs. 2 cabinet cards of ambulance drivers (late 19th c). 1 larger (8x10) 19th c mounted photo of a horse drawn ambulance. 1 WWI photo of French stretcher bearers carrying American soldiers to an American Ambulance (8/8/1918). 6 photos of various hospital wards (late 19th-early 20th c). One 1862 photo and description of a Union Hospital Steward in full dress uniform with description. Clipped from a larger page. 1 photo of a retired Union soldier in GAR uniform and medal. 1 late 18th c copperplate engraving of Paolo Mascagni (1755-1815) who was the first to give a complete description of the lymphatic system. He is seated next to a cadaver. 3pp of photocopies of 18th century obstetrical birthing techniques. 1 photo of a man with a pipe seated outside next to an unearthed skeleton (ca. 1920-40). One 1901 photo of Sloan Maternity Hospital, New York (photo mounted to approx. 8x10". 3 photos of longitudinal cross sections of a brain (ca 1920-40). 1 photo of a German surgeon standing in front of a brain in a pan (early 20th century). 11 photos of an amputated leg, with all skin removed except for the first 3 toes. 2 of the 11 are photos of x-rays, and 2 are showing the photography set up. Housed in a small manila envelope from Mass. General Hospital (ca1940). 1 small (H 4-1/2" x W 3-1/4") "Perpetual Hospital Ticket to the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh". Bound in red leather and gilt text. Folds like a book. Dated April 25,1930. #884. 2 paper receipts for Marcus Boyle of New York. One to allow him to be admitted to New York Hospital, dated June 4, 1835. One is a bill for his stay there, June 6 - July 2, 1835. 3 weeks 6 days for a cost of $11.57. Sizes as noted above, but all are housed in plastic 3-ring binder sheets. Condition as noted above, but generally all are in very good used condition.
