Description
Group of Ten Pieces of Chinese Porcelain, 19th c., consisting of 6 tea cups with figural decoration, the underside with blue six character marks; 3 shallow bowls with figural decoration and six character marks; and a large export rectangular platter, Platter- H.- 2 in., W.-14 3/4 in., D.- 12 in. (10 Pcs.)
Condition
The platter has numerous nicks and small chips along the outer rim. There is one quarter inch chip along the inner rim. There are a few dimpled firing flaws throughout. The gilt and painted decoration is worn with losses to many of the flowers. The painted decoration is well worn and there are a few shallow chips in the center. The cups have a few minor areas of paint loss and firing flaws. Wear is consistent with age and use.
