Description
Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Beverly Hill, California. Tyg in red tone Sumida pottery fabrication, circa Meiji period. Country of origin: Japan. Thistyg has a drip glaze design on the surround and continuing on the tops of the three handles in tones of green, blue, and white. There is an applied pottery design of two male child figures, withone of them reaching toward the other one, who is seated on a log. There is also an applied pottery design of a white radish. There is an applied porcelain plaque on the back that is signedin Japanese characters by the artist Ishiguro Koko. This tyg measures 6 inches tall by 7 inches wide by 5.5 inches deep.
