BIOGRAPHY:
Nina D. Buxton is a renowned Florida artist known for her seascapes and paintings of American military ships and planes. Buxton was born in Khartoum, Sudan, of French parents. She was raised in Egypt where she studied art under Professor Carlo Minotti and Tahia Halim. Buxton then moved to Paris to continue her studies at the University of Paris - Academie de Brande Chaumiere, and at the Academie Julien. During this period she spent her summers traveling and studying art in Europe and the Middle East. She then ventured to Hawaii, Tahiti, Mexico, Canada, and then eventually to the United States. After immigrating to the United States, she continued painting, teaching art, and conducting annual painting Art Tours throughout Europe and Israel.
