First, limited, and deluxe edition, #317/500 numbered copies, signed by Rackham. 4to. xxiv, 509 pp. (both Latimore & Haskell and Riall call for 517 pp., this copy has 509 pp. as do four other copies inspected). Illustrated with mounted color frontispiece, 16 mounted color plates all with captioned tissue guards, and numerous in-text black and white illustrations. Publisher's full vellum binding, stamped in gilt, very light foxing to front board, slightly more so to rear; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; very light foxing to rear endpapers. A lovely copy.
