Continental Bronze and Crystal Centerpiece of Silenus Wrestling the Serpent
20th century, the swirled crystal bowl supported by the patinated bronze figure, mounted on a gilt-bronze leaf-molded base, marked "A Se Luea", after the 1st century BCE Roman bronze standard discovered in 1864 in the ruins of Pompeii and now conserved at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Naples.
