Description
A Leaded, Stained and Painted Glass Window Depicting Joan of Arc, D'Ascenzo Studios, Philadelphia, First Half 20th Century. In an old window frame.
Dimensions: Sight 40 x 18 1/2in; Frame 48 3/4 x 27in.
Footnote: Produced by D'Ascenzo Studios between 1904 and 1959. This work has descended in the family of David Bramnick (1892-1959), D'Ascenzo Studios' head designer and painter who worked with the firm for 45 years following Nicola D'Ascenzo's death in 1954.
Condition
The panel appears to be structurally sound and in generally good condition overall. Wear commensurate with age and use. Some areas of the leading with slight buckling, old repairs and reinforcements. Dust and dirt accumulation to crevices. The frame with heavy marks, wear, scuffs and surface scratches.
