Arts & Crafts classroom art portfolio by Mary Robertson of Keene, NH circa 1912. An oversized art portfolio of a students coursework, obviously inspired with the teachings of the School Arts Magazine and Arthur Wesley Dow. The portfolio is signed on the interior cover Mary Robertson, a listing for her winning a "Crayon Contest" in the School Arts Magazine dates her work to around 1910/12. This is filled with nearly 100 pieces of artwork from gouache paintings to dark charcoals and pastels, pen & ink drawings, fabrics with stencil patterns and actual stencil boards. Themes include many Arts & Crafts stylized renderings of objects, patterns, homes, gardens, stencils, insects, animals, flowers, interiors, wallpapers and more. The portfolio measures 22” by 16” with the larger charcoals measuring around 18” by 12” each.
