Description
A Marlon Brando Golden Globe Award for 'World Film Favorite,' 1955. Made of gold-colored metal on a white marble base, front placard reads "To Marlon Brando / The World / Film Favorite / of / 1955 / Hollywood / Foreign Press / Assn.;" interestingly, that year Brando made the musical "Guys and Dolls" co-starring Frank Sinatra, a major departure from his typical gritty and serious roles. (Please note the small 'Henrietta' figurine atop the globe shows repair work and there are substantial scratches on the placard.)

According to Alice Marchak [Brando's longtime personal assistant], Brando threw this award against the wall, breaking off the top figurine, and it was not fixed until decades later.
Included with a "Letter of Authenticity" signed by Alice Marchak, Marlon Brando's longtime personal assistant.
