It has an angular barrel merging into a round with a smooth bore. French-style iron flintlock. The walnut stock has a flared butt and is fitted with a variety of silver ornamentation including a relief engraved butt cap and matching panel extending back from the breach, an intricate insert on the wrist with oval coral inserts, and extensive wire inlaid designs.
