Description
AG Mazo et Cie 1981. Portfolio with 15 lithographs in color engraved by Charles Sorlier, after Bernard Buffet's watercolors created for the decorations and costumes of Carmen at the Marseille Opera. The lithographs, realized under the Buffet direction, are all signed and numbered in pencil by him, and printed on press by Mourlot in Paris, 1981. Limited in 210 numbered copies, of which this one is one of the 180 in Arab numbers, in Arches paper. Complete of title, page justification also signed by Buffet in pencil, and 15 stanning color lithographs with correlated text by Prosper Merimee in facsimile handwriting.Loose as issued, collected in the original gray folder with red cloth spine, with full-length black drawing of Carmen, artist's name and title in black, on the front folder.
