This is a woven mask of rattan Fibers and natural pigments from the Middle Sepik River and Blackwater region' Such masks hung in the communal Tambaran' house and often embody a female ancestor whose enormous face appears on the gable and whose name is given to the house. Field collected by Ira Marks in the Early to Mid 1980's. A metal display stand can also be included for an additional $50.00
