Description
Federal Maple Tall Case Clock, Nineteenth Century. The crest carved with alternating pinwheels and lines and surmounted by three wood urn finals, over the hood with molded arched door and arched side apertures, flanked by free-standing columns on the front and engaged half-columns on the back, the dial with black Roman numerals and the entire face painted with landscape scenes, the molded arched case door centering a carved fan and within brass-mounted engaged reeded quarter columns, raised on a molded base and bracket feet; with pendulum, two weights and a winder. H: 90 in., W: 20.5 in., D: 11 in. Provenance: The Dingman Collection, Hampton, New Hampshire.
