Description
Early 19th century. Made in New Bedford, Massachusetts. An (8) day weight driven shelf clock with a beautiful mahogany case and reverse painted glass door. It also features an alarm that is constructed in between the frame or plates. The clock is signed faintly on the concave iron dial. 31" high x 13 1/2" wide x 6" deep. Very good condition. It is currently working but not guaranteed. Ezra Kelley and Nathaniel Shepherd both worked in Dartmouth and New Bedford in 1820 through 1823 and then together again in 1833 through 1835.
