With shaped crest-rail with rolled ears and central carved shell, solid splat, on shaped apron, cabriole legs with shell-carved knees, on ball-and-claw feet.
H: 40 in. W: 22 in. D: 19 in.

Collection of a Virginia gentleman.
Condition
lot 43: refinished; repaired break to right-facing seat rail; frame has been repinned; support blocks may be reattached; splat with patch and fill; crest-rail has been re-pinned; seat frame is marked “IV,” the seat is old and marked “VI.”
