H.L. Matile Gold Minute Repeating Hunters Case, Original Box & Papers, circa 1885
Case: 18k gold, four body, 54 mm, inner gold cuvette, display glass over the movement, No. 10910, front cover engraved with an overlay fancy Gothic monogram, back cover with a Scottish Rite 32nd degree Masonic double headed eagle and banner engraved "Spes Mea In Deo Est"
Dial: double sunk enamel, radial Arabic numerals, red five minutes, Breguet moon hands, sub seconds
Movement: No. 10910, 3/4 plate, straight line lever escapement, 22 jewels, lever set, adjusted isochronal vibrations, bi-metallic compensated balance, counter poised pallet, lever set, gold screw down jewel settings
Signed: H.L. Matile Locle, with original mahogany box, timing and rating card, 1885 receipt showing the original sales price of $340 plus $13 for the special engraving and a 1890 cleaning invoice for $8.

Condition: dial is very good, case is very good, good hinges, some wear to the bow, movement is ticking but cannon pinion is loose and will require tightening, three teeth are missing from the setting wheel, repeater mainspring seems okay as there is tension on the repeat train, repeat train seems complete but will need repair, possible that one of the wheel teeth is between the plates and fouling up the repeat train
