Description
Finely open work carved Chinese Jade standing on its branching stem and leaves which overlay Buddha's hand Citroen. Faces upward. The Buddha's hand citron (Citrus Chirocarpus) derives its Chinese name FoShou and the alternative English name of "Finger Citron" from its odd shape. It symbolizes "Much Happiness" and is used as an offering for the altar during the Chinese New Year. The Jade stone carving is smooth.
Having a moist milky appearance with even tone grayish-celadon iridescent. Beautiful sporadic golden-russet nature inclusion surrounded on the surface.
Displayed elegantly upon elaborately carved hardwood stand.
