In 1929, he served as the academic director of Guangzhou Municipal College of Fine Arts, and after 1937, he served as a professor in the Art Department of National Central University. In 1949, he moved to Taiwan and served as the professor and director of the Art Department of Taiwan Normal University. Many personal painting exhibitions have been held at home and abroad. He has profound traditional skills and has experienced the process of inheritance, evolution and innovation of modern Chinese painting.
